we arrived in Warsaw by train last night and I had a great goulash dinner. This is the view from my hotel.

These four days in Berlin have been fun but, it's time to head east to Warsaw, Poland.

Just Walking Around

I ran into one of my travel partners from last year as I was leaving the hotel.  Her name is Theresa and she had just arrived so we went out exploring together. She took this picture of me next to Hannah Hoch. Hoch was one of the Dada artist Hitler identified as "degenerate" art. 

Great Night's Sleep

I had a very sound sleep my first night in Berlin. I met Marion and we had breakfast this morning. She is an art teacher from NYC and will be traveling with me to Budapest. Today I plan to just roam Berlin by myself. I will be meeting the rest of my travel partners this evening. 

First Day In Berlin

An artists friend of mine met me at the Tegal airport and gave me a quick tour of the old East Berlin.  She then drove me to Potsdam where we walked for hours. I then took the train back to Berlin and checked into my hotel. I'm pooped!

I'm on my way!

I left home at 7AM so I would have enough time to take DART. It took about 90 minutes but it saved me about  $50.00. It also gave me a chance to take a little nap.  It looks like many of the fights in New York are being delayed due to the weather. So, I'm hoping my connecting fight to Berlin will be equally delayed.
